justifying my very speedy return to Facebook by deleting about 150 friends.

How about coffee, drinks, dinner, a movie…for as long as we both shall live? 

Facebook finally did it. They made enough completely useless and ridiculous changes for me to leave. 

The new newsfeed? There’s no point to it. None. I feel like everyone working at Facebook is just competing to always have the newest, biggest thing. 

Guess what? That’s already been accomplished. You ran Myspace into the ground, you can stop now. And Tumblr is nice, but a large portion of the population will never have any interest in the format. Facebook, you’re golden. Nothing can happen to you, except for maybe driving all of your users away.

The sad thing is that I know I’ll be back in a few days. Maybe even later today. But momentarily I feel liberated to know that all that ridiculous Top News shit is gone from my life.

Anyway when I get back, I’m going to try to cut a good half of my “friends” out of my Facebook life. I don’t even talk to them, and they post stupid things that I will now be forced to look at.
